Here are a few things you should know as you prepare to join us!
- A Cub Scout den provides your Cub Scout with a group of youth their own age in which your child will enjoy building derby race cars and boats, performing skits, visiting fun places, learning exciting life skills, hiking and camping. While your Cub Scout is doing all these interesting and fun things they will earn awards and badges for their efforts. He/she will also be given the opportunity to give back to the church and community through service projects.
- Adult Training. All adults must complete Safeguarding Youth formally known as Youth Protection Training (YPT)
- California AB506 mandates training as well for participating adult volunteers
- Uniform InformationThe uniform is an important part of Scouting for youth and adults. Uniforms may also be purchased from the Orange County Scout Shop located at 2953 Pullman St, Santa Ana, CA 92705
Fees
- As part of your registration with Scouting, there will be fees for both the National and local Council. Complimentary registration for 2026! Reach out to our leadership for a complimentary QR-Code
- Our unit also collects a fee of $80 per year, towards your Childs advancements and awards.
- Scouts have the ability to earn money through Camp Card, Popcorn and other sales opportunities to offset, or fully cover family fees. Cub Scouts have been known to raise enough money to cover outings, gear and summer camps.
